A couple of months ago our team attended both the Sydney regionals and the Canadian Rockies regional. All 3 regionals were really fun and the whole team had a ball! At the Sydney regionals we got to meet all the teams who travelled from overseas and enjoyed observing all the different robot designs for this year’s game.
The highlight of the season was travelling to Calgary for the Canadian Rockies regional where we got to meet all the Canadian teams and play this year’s game in another country. Upon arrival, we spent a day preparing for comp, and treated ourselves with a refreshing swim in the pool. At the regional we tested teams on their knowledge of Australian slang and did Tim-Tam taste tests. We got to meet many new teams, as well as meet some of our old friends! Over the course of the competition we made it to the semifinals and made our country proud.
